This Is My Story . . . When I say I am blessed to be alive, it’s not just some cliché phrase that I learned in church. To me, it’s deeper than that – although I don’t doubt that people mean it when they say it during testimony service. But as you read this honest, raw narrative about my harrowing experiences as a result of domestic violence, I believe you’ll understand that “blessed” is the only way to explain the fact that I’m here to tell my story.
